I would say my approach is a bit documentary with an artistic feel. I want the work to be honest, as well as beautiful and artistic. The honesty has to be there to feel authentic, so I try to pose "loosely" so my couples can still express themselves. A favorite thing for me is to set up a situation where there will be an honest interaction. Those reactions are priceless.

For the posed images, I'm more focused on creating a painterly, artistic, image. The posed images are a big part of the experience and look so beautiful hanging on the wall, or in an album. These images really capture, not only the beauty of the couple and their day but the importance of it.
